Dog Boarding

While at FOPR, guests are housed in our quaint, nineteen run kennel. Our indoor/outdoor runs measure 4' x 8' on the inside and 4' x 5' on the outside. We have one double size run. For additional comfort, the kennel is equipped with central air conditioning and of course, a variety of music is provided. Guests are secured inside at night and when the weather dictates. Family members may share a run.

Meals are typically served twice daily. Nutro Natural Choice Chicken, Lamb, Senior or Nutro Max is provided. However, you are welcome to bring your pets own food. Please bring only enough for the anticipated stay and we will feed as per your instructions. Fresh water is provided at all times. Excessive diet preparations subject to charge.

Kuranda cots and soft bedding materials are provided. Feel free to bring your pet’s favorite washable bedding if you desire. Please limit number of toys.

Guests are typically exercised twice daily. Exercise may include a play time in our secured, two acre play yard or a leash walk down our country road. Time out will vary depending on circumstances such as weather and guest’s needs.

We at FOPR recognize the special needs of the very young and very old. Extra yard time may be given as well as special attention to bedding, cleaning and visual monitoring.

Baths: Baths can be provided on or before day of pick-up. Baths include shampoo, conditioner, nail trim, ear cleaning (if needed), blow dry, and comb out (if required). Collars may also be washed. We are unable to trim or cut hair and therefore may not be able to bathe a pet if it's coat is severely matted.

Extra Play Time: An extra time out in the yard to stretch, sniff or take care of any unfinished business.

Extra Walk: A leash walk down our country road outside the kennel grounds. Great for those guests who prefer company on their outings.

Medication Administration: FOPR can administer necessary medications and supplements. All prescription medication must be in a container labeled with current dosage rate, medication identification and prescribing veterinarian contact information. All medication and supplement administrations subject to a minimum charge.

Shuttle Service: Guest pick-up and drop-off available. All admission requirements apply, and owner must be present at drop-off. Service limited by driving distance.

Admission Requirements
All pets over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered.

Vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Combo, and Bordetella vaccinations must be current and administered by a licensed veterinarian. Documentation is required prior to admission. You may have your veterinarian fax your pet’s vaccinations records (preferred). You may also scan and e-mail the records to us or bring them with you at check in.

General Condition: All guests must be of acceptable cleanliness and free of fleas and ticks. Baths are available through FOPR.

Behavior: Because we do a lot of hands on interaction with our canine guest, only friendly, companion animals are accepted. All animals over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered. Certain dogs may be subject to evaluation before admission.

Reservations: Reservations are required. Confirmation response from FOPR needed to secure e-mail reservations.
